American Protection Plan is a licensed life insurance agency operating in Texas and Florida. We help families buy final expense and term life coverage over the phone, in plain English, without a sales visit.
Why we exist
Most people find out what a funeral costs at the worst possible moment — three days after losing someone, sitting across from a funeral director with a price list. The national median for a funeral with a viewing and burial runs around $8,300, and closer to $10,000 once you add a vault. Most families don't have that sitting in an account.
Coverage for exactly this problem has existed for decades. It's sold badly. The standard playbook is a mailer, then an appointment, then an agent in your living room for two hours with a binder. That process is expensive, it's slow, and it pressures people into decisions at the kitchen table.
We rebuilt it around one phone call. Our agents are licensed, salaried to help rather than to close, and appointed with multiple carriers so they can tell you honestly when a different company is a better fit for your age and health history. You get real numbers on the first call, and you decide on your own time.
We sell over the phone, not at your kitchen table
The traditional final expense model sends an agent to your house for two hours. We think that's a bad trade for you. A phone call gets you the same licensed agent and the same carriers, and you can end it whenever you want.
We don't sell or trade your information
We are not a lead generator. We do not sell, rent, or transfer your name, phone number, or messaging consent to other agencies, aggregators, or marketing partners. The agent who calls you works for us.
We tell you when it isn't a fit
Some people don't need this coverage, and some can't qualify at a price worth paying. Our agents are trained to say so and end the call. A policy that lapses in eight months helps nobody.
