Privacy Policy

American Protection Plan is a brand operated by Konnect Technologies Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what we collect when you use this site or request a quote, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to give you a quote and follow up:

• Information you give us. Name, phone number, email address, state of residence, preferred call time, and anything else you tell an agent — including date of birth, health history, and beneficiary details if you choose to apply for coverage.
• Consent records. When you check a consent box, we store the exact wording you agreed to, the date and time, your IP address, your browser user agent, and the page you submitted from. We keep this to prove your consent was valid.
• Call and message records. Call times, durations, outcomes, and the content of text messages you exchange with us. Calls may be recorded for quality and compliance where permitted by law; you will be told at the start of the call.
• Technical data. IP address, device and browser type, referring page, and pages viewed, collected through standard server logs and analytics.

2. How we use your information

• To respond to your quote request and have a licensed agent contact you.
• To submit an application to an insurance carrier on your behalf, if you ask us to.
• To send service and marketing communications you have consented to receive.
• To maintain internal Do Not Call and opt-out lists.
• To detect fraud, secure our systems, and comply with insurance and telemarketing law.

3. Text messaging (SMS) and your mobile information

No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. The only exception is the messaging aggregators and service providers strictly necessary to deliver the messages you asked for. Those providers act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own marketing.

If you opt in to text messages, we send them under our Messaging Terms, which describe the program, the message frequency, and how to stop. SMS consent is always optional and is never required to get a quote or buy a policy. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

After you opt out: we stop messaging you immediately and keep your mobile number on an internal suppression list indefinitely, so that later campaigns cannot text you again. That suppression record is used only to keep you off our lists.

4. When we share information

We share your information only in these situations:

• Insurance carriers. When you ask us to submit an application, we send the carrier what it needs to underwrite it.
• Licensed agents. The appointed agent handling your request.
• Service providers. Hosting, CRM, telephony, and messaging vendors that process data on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes.
• Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or regulator, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

We are not a lead generator. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share your phone number or your SMS consent with lead buyers, affiliates, networks, or any other third party for their marketing. We have never done so and have no arrangements to do so. The licensed agent who contacts you works for Konnect Technologies Inc..

5. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to make the site work and basic analytics to understand which pages people find useful. You can block cookies in your browser; parts of the site may stop working if you do. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required.

6. Your choices

• Text messages: reply STOP to any message.
• Calls: tell any agent to add you to our internal Do Not Call list, or email support@americanprotectionplan.com. We honor requests within 10 business days and keep them indefinitely.
• Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• Access, correction, deletion, and portability: residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and Texas — may request a copy of their personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, and appeal a denial. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Email support@americanprotectionplan.com to make a request; we may need to verify your identity first.

7. Retention and security

We keep consent records and communication logs for at least five years to meet telemarketing and insurance recordkeeping requirements, and other information for as long as needed for the purposes above. We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor review. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

This site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes here and update the effective date. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated before they take effect.
